Not only have our three victorious members venied, vidied and viccied (Richard correct my Latin) in Rome but they also spread the gospel of the Curry Club. In fact, so impressed and amazed by the fearless figure of Curry Club Runner Richard Dunne ruthlessly attacking the streets of Rome that friend of the Curry Club (Rome chapter) Giorgio took a picture of him and sent it, unsolicited, to the Curry Club. On the January 13th run the runners were joined by Tom and Lewis. Instead of running, these junior Curry Club runners had the luxury of two wheeled pedal-power to get them round the course. My expectation had been that the runners would be held back by the bikers who were bound to be exhausted after the first mile. However, the reverse soon proved to be the case with the junior members taking all terrains in their stride leaving the runners to follow, or should that be trail, behind.

A bike friendly course was chosen and the experiment confirmed to be a success. If of interest, another runners and offspring run can be planned in the near future.

Bob’s former running mate Kevin has recently opened a running shop in Chandlers Ford as part of the Up and Running franchise. The really good news is that Curry Club Runners can obtain a 10% discount on production of their Curry Club Runners membership card. What membership card, I hear you say. Well, after some junior IT nerd sent the entire Curry Club Runners membership database to the mafia out of sheer spite, the Curry Club Runners membership ID scheme has been put back a bit. However, I should get round to it within a week or two.
