Isle of White

Curry Clun Runners

Brave men all

It with not a little concern that the run started out today.  Not only was it from the infamous Sunflower (Flagellation) Bob’s house but the elements were somewhat dodgy.  Running from Bob’s normally entails pain and today was no different – running on snow and ice down to the sea certainly lifted the soul !

Still, those who ran were rewarded with a great (not too cold) run with magnificent views of a snowy Isle of Wight.  Only one faller and no one went for a dip when we reached the sea !  Details of the run can be found by clicking here.

Amazing what you pick up at a dinner party.  New “regular” runner Tim Huntingdon brought along a fellow guest from the previous night’s dinner party.  We knew that Simon was going to be good, because he was running in walking boots !  Here’s why –

Dear Tim, Jerry, Bob and all the Curry Club Runners,

Thanks for inviting me along (or allowing me to crash in..) on yesterday morning’s run, it was just what I needed after a night of excess, blowing away the cobwebs and saving my Sunday from being one lost to a ‘thick head’!
The route was also a good one though the chain gang on the beach was a new one on me and pretty tough!  I look forward to seeing the link to the route which we took on Sunday when it is on your blog site.
Jerry, you were asking about my company… to know more feel free to visit my website:  http://www.gazeburvill.com
Also for those of you interested in the Haute Route (the reason for my absurdly wearing the boots!) have a look at the 5 minute video on the sites that I have created for sponsorship:
